This new online resource from the American Petroleum Institute provides useful and fun real-world information on energy, including lesson plans for teachers and an art studio for students.

Energy Smart Schools (www.eren.doe.gov/energysmartschools/teaching.html)
The U.S. Department of Energy provides this clearinghouse of information for teachers and students to locate sources for teaching and learning about energy.

Energy Star for Schools (http://yosemite1.epa.gov/r10/oi.nsf/webpage/energystarschools)
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency offers resources to assist your school in energy and financial performance and potential for improvement, as well as recognition and how to receive an Energy Star award.

High Performance Schools (www.consumerenergycenter.com/schools/)
The California Energy Commission offers assistance through the high performance school, cool roof and bright schools programs.

National Energy Foundation (www.nef1.org)
National Energy Foundation is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing supplementary educational materials, programs, and courses. These resources cover energy, water, natural resources, science and math, technology, conservation, and the environment. Both student programs and teacher training are available, with several university graduate credit, independent study courses developed for K-12 school teachers. 

School Energy Efficiency (SEE) Program (http://www.scsa.ca.gov/energy_education.htm)
The State and Consumer Services Agency is currently implementing the School Energy Efficiency (SEE) Program, which provides educational and facility related resources to school districts in California's Central Valley.
