Sacramento Surplus Book Room

 

Overview

The Sacramento Surplus Book Room is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that facilitates the collection and distribution of surplus textbooks, providing quality textbooks to schools, teachers, children, and parents. Many of the books the Book Room provides are free. Library groups provide books that are distributed to the general public and other nonprofit agencies.

Materials Accepted

Books, textbooks, classroom materials (e.g. maps, globes, science kits). A great majority are reused.

Source of Materials

Schools, libraries, general public. All materials are donated.

Collection Services

Maximum distance is 60 miles.

Geographic Service Area

Northern California (Sacramento, Davis, Placer, etc.).

Drop-Off Hours

Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Open Monday by appointment.
