San Diego Habitat for Humanity ReStore

 

Overview

San Diego Habitat for Humanity ReStore (HFH) is a nonprofit organization that accepts donated building materials and sells new and used building materials. The proceeds and/or materials are used to cover construction costs to build/rehabilitate homes, for donation to other nonprofits, or for recycling. Items that cannot be accepted are referred to other nonprofits, recyclers, and CalMAX. HFH also collaborates with "green" builders to promote sustainable construction and energy conservation.

Materials Accepted

A wide variety of building materials.

Source of Materials

Homeowners, designers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers, mainly from remodels. All materials are donated.

Collection Services

Free, 25 miles (special loads: 100 miles).

Geographic Service Area

San Diego County (for special loads, Orange and Riverside).

Drop-Off Hours

Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Days/Hours of Operation

Same as drop-off hours.
