Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Butte County

History ReStore Sign

Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Butte County originated in 2001.

Operations

  • The ReStore has established many commercial accounts; Lowe's is a loyal donator to the ReStore.
  • Greg Johnson, manager of the ReStore is the only paid employee—all the other employees are volunteers.
  • The ReStore's volunteer program enables students from California State University, Chico to obtain community service credit by working at the ReStore.
  • Volunteers are always welcome. Call or visit the Restore for
    information on how you can volunteer.
  • The ReStore contains 5,100 square feet of indoor space, as well as an outdoor area.

Materials Accepted

Usable construction and demolition materials such as:

  • Bath Tubs
  • Bricks
  • Cabinets for Kitchens/Baths
  • Carpet and Pads
  • Doors (Interior and Exterior)
  • Faucets for Kitchens/Baths
  • Firewood
  • Gravel
  • Heating/AC Units
  • Hot Water Heaters
  • Lighting Fixtures
  • Paint (Interior and Exterior)
  • Towel Bars for Bathrooms
  • Sliding Glass Doors
  • Towel Bars for Bathrooms
  • Vinyl for Bathrooms
  • Whole House Fans

Source of Materials

Sinks for saleEighty percent of the materials come from homeowners; the remaining 20 percent come from businesses.
