Alameda County Computer Resource Center

Warehouse of ComputersOverview

The Alameda County Computer Resource Center (ACCRC) is a nonprofit organization that diverts technological and hazardous waste from landfills. The refurbished computers are donated to nonprofit organizations, schools, libraries, economically and disabled individuals, and developing countries. ACCRC provides one year of free repair and maintenance for all equipment distributed. Through their volunteer training program, they provide technical training to disadvantaged individuals. ACCRC placed more than 1,000 computers in 1998, over 2,000 in 1999, and over 3,000 in the year 2000.
