Books For Soldiers is a soldier support site that ships old, but still useable paperback books books, DVDs and supplies to deployed soldiers and soldiers in VA hospitals, via their large volunteer network.

Delivers mass quantities of quality educational materials, procured from donor individuals and the discards of United States' public school districts, to the most remote disadvantaged schools in the developing countries.

Accepts donations of books, magazines, videos, CDs, and records for their monthly sales and redistribution efforts to other nonprofit organizations. Donations provide others with very low-cost access to reading materials, decrease the burden on landfills, and yield a tax deduction for donors, as well.

Collects California's unneeded texts and library books and distributes them to community literacy projects, daycare, youth and community centers, hospitals, libraries, convalescent homes, drug treatment facilities, and prisons throughout the state. Additionally, collaborates with Rotary Clubs and other groups to ship these books to developing countries worldwide. Begun in 1987, has kept over a million books out of landfills.

An all-volunteer organization that collects gently used books and sends them to American troops deployed overseas.

Facilitates the collection and distribution of surplus textbooks, providing quality textbooks to schools, teachers, children, and parents. Many of the books provided are free.
