Learning Through Creative Reuse --Bay Area
Now in its 28th year, this event is for anyone who wants to know what is
happening in environmental education. A workshop highlighting the learning
opportunities available in using creative reuse as a tool for home and

entire day.

Hunger"—National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive --Nationwide
This largest food drive in the nation helps food banks stay well stocked
during the summer months, when donations of food are usually at their
lowest. Mail carriers around the county participate by picking up
non-perishable food that residents leave by their mailboxes.

the Orinda Library "First Thursday" Book Sale
The sales of donated books provide the library with books, books on tape,
magazines, videos and DVDs, music CDs, etc. Donated books (no magazines,
textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, or any dirty or moldy books) may
be left in the donation room at the north end of the parking garage under
the library. To obtain a receipt for donations, come while the Library is
open (Monday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday:
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). For questions
about donations or to have donations picked up, call (925) 254-2184.
