Food Residual Diversion Workshop —San Jose
Serving Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco Counties, this
workshop is for owners and managers of food-handling businesses, local
government representatives, and waste management professionals. Attendees
will learn about local options for food waste diversion that keep food out
of the landfill with little or no efficiency interruption. This workshop
is co-sponsored by the City of San Jose, the California Integrated Waste
Management Board, and the California Organics Recycling Council of the
California Resource Recovery Association. Presenters and attendees will
include representatives from local government, food banks, prepared food
redistribution programs, animal feed programs, renderers, compost and
vermicompost programs, waste haulers, health and safety programs, and the
businesses that generate food waste.
