Jurisdiction and regional summary information helps decision
makers identify trends, solve problems, and compare the performance of cities, counties,
and regional agencies in reducing and diverting waste. Available tools include:
- California County Summary Information. These
pages show maps of California
county disposal destinations for 1999 through 2004. The inflow and outflow disposal destination data shows the total amount and percentages of waste from
the selected county disposed within its boundaries, in other counties, and/or
exported out of state.
- County Construction and Demolition (C&D) Ordinances.
These pages are a list of all jurisdictions in a County that have passed a C&D ordinance.
The list also contains a short description about the ordinance.
- California Waste Stream Profiles.
This new site summarizes information on Californias waste stream through a series of
profiles focusing on jurisdictions, facilities, and materials. The profiles include data
on demographics, Board assistance (grants, loans, etc.), related Board actions, disposal
and diversion rates, facilities information, GIS mapping, and waste tire issues.
- Trends Graphs: A
graph
showing California waste generation, disposal, and diversion from
1989-2004, and another graph tracking the yearly change in percent of
population, employment, inflation-adjusted taxable sales, and waste
disposal from 1991-2004.
- Statewide disposal and diversion
rates. Check
out this site for more information on statewide waste generation, diversion, and disposal
rates.
- Regional Agencies: A comprehensive
list of all Board-approved regional agencies.
- Geographic areas: A map of the
state's geographic regions and
brief descriptions of
those areas and their proportions of statewide disposal.
