Understanding Landfill Gas Standards for Active Sites

This one-day class will be entirely classroom based and will cover the new landfill gas (LFG) standards for active sites through lecture, real world and class problems.

Class Objectives

• Understanding how the new standards apply to active landfills with existing LFG monitoring probes/wells
• Familiarize participants with the requirements for complying with LFG monitoring systems
• Discuss the Board’s recent studies evaluating the functionality of monitoring probes/wells

• Local enforcement agency (LEA) staff*
• Landfill, transfer station, and other solid waste facility operators and employees
• CIWMB staff
