Past Illegal Dumping Training October 26 – November 17, 2005 Dates & Locations
In October and November 2005, the CIWMB offered a one-day training class to tire recycling grantees, LEAs, local code enforcement, public works personnel, sheriffs officers, CIWMB staff, and others who deal with waste tire enforcement and illegal dumping surveillance. Through a joint effort between the CIWMB’s Tire Recycling Program and the LEA Training & Outreach Section, the training opportunity was offered at three dates and locations around the state. Along with a complete overview of the City of Fresno’s Tire Surveillance Program, the training session offered supplemental information provided by CIWMB and Air Resources Board (ARB) staff, plus information from the California District Attorney’s Association (CDAA) and three local prosecutors. The classes were filled to capacity and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The goals of the class were to provide useful tools to assist local agencies with strategies to:
