Draft Best Management Practices (BMP) for Landfill Gas Monitoring Well/Probe Design and Construction: These BMPs were adapted from the SCS Engineers report on Landfill Gas Monitoring Well Functionality (Word, 443 KB) presented to the Board’s Strategic Policy Committee on July 15, 2008. The Board accepted the SCS report and recommendations. The BMPs are intended to provide operators the benefit of the study's findings and recommendations when installing required landfill gas (LFG) monitoring wells/probes. The Board is seeking comments on this draft from stakeholders by September 2, 2008. Stakeholder comments, along with those from a Technical Advisory Group, will be considered by CIWMB staff to finalize the BMPs by October 2008. Please direct your comments to Bob Holmes.

Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) Digital Inspections Program--A voluntary program allowing LEAs to submit their statutorily mandated solid waste facility inspection data in paperless, electronic format using either data entry on a web form, or batch submittal using XML.
