Public Meeting Broadcasts

Use the following links to listen in over the Internet to live audio broadcasts of Board meetings, workshops, and committee meetings. Upcoming events are listed with links to online agendas and other relevant information if available. Prior to the event, the audio link will be added, providing a direct audio feed from the meeting room. These broadcasts are not recorded for later use. See below for the technical requirements necessary to join us on line.

Audio Broadcast Technical Requirements

To join us for the online audio broadcasts, you'll need the following:

• Sound card in your computer or work station.
• Internet Explorer 4.1+ or Netscape 4.x+ Web browser.
• Microsoft Windows Media Player client software. Version 9 strongly recommended.
• ISDN, DSL, T1, cable modem, or high-speed network connection. Connections with 56KB or slower modems may not be satisfactory.

March 25, 2004: The CIWMB upgraded to Media Services 9. Allow your Media Player to download the latest codecs and updates if it asks. However, we strongly recommend you install version 9.  If you have trouble connecting to the stream, make sure your firewall administrator is allowing requests to go out using TCP Port 554 for RTSP and 1755 for ms-streaming). These audio broadcasts are made available as a courtesy for all interested parties, and CIWMB will make every reasonable effort to provide this service in a reliable and consistent manner. However, since there are various factors that could affect the Internet or end-user connections to this service including connection issues at remote Board meeting locations throughout California, the availability and quality of this service is not guaranteed.

Test Your Connection?

If you are not sure that your system is capable of receiving an audio or video webcast, please click on the link below to receive a test ‘stream’ of audio/video to verify that your system is working correctly. Your system should launch the Media Player and display both a video image (e.g., Cal/EPA logo) and audio stream (jazz instrumental). If you have trouble connecting to the stream, please contact your network administrator for assistance.
