Recycling Information

Tire Recycling Hotline: The Board's Tire Recycling Hotline, (916) 341-6441, is available for waste tire information. Callers need to leave their name, phone number, and requests and a CIWMB staff member will return the call.

Registered Waste Tire Haulers: Find the waste tire haulers in your area using our online search.

Recycling Centers / Coordinators / Associations

Recycling Centers: To locate a convenient recycling center, call Earth's 911, which has a nationwide automated hotline at 1-800-CLEANUP.  You can also get the same information from the Earth's 911 Web site (www.1800cleanup.org).

Recycling Coordinators: Call the Board at (916) 341-6530 for the name and phone number of your community's recycling coordinator.  You can also call your local city hall or public works agency.

California Recycling Advocacy Associations: Recycling advocacy associations actively promote the recovery and use of secondary materials. The California Resource Recovery Association (www.crra.com), the Northern California Recycling Association (www.ncrarecycles.org) and Californians Against Waste (www.cawrecycles.org) are three leading California recycling advocacy groups.
