Waste Tire Enforcement Grants: FY 2006-07 |

The fiscal year (FY) 2006-2007 grant application period is now closed. Please see the Tire Grants page for information on any current grant programs. This grant provided funding to solid waste local enforcement agencies and city and county agencies in California to investigate illegal tire disposal activities, perform waste tire facilities inspections, and survey tire dealers, auto dismantlers, tire haulers, and other points of waste tire generation to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the new manifest system. The Board awarded grants to all recommended applicants at its April 2007 business meeting. Six million dollars ($6,000,000) was available for this grant cycle. Eligible applicants, including regional applicants, were allowed to request up to a total of $300,000.
