Local Government Public Education and Amnesty Day Grant Program
Fiscal Year 2002-2003

Questions and Answers

Potential applicants submitted the following questions on or before the question period deadline on June 14, 2002. Staff sent the questions and answers (Q&A) to everyone who requested a Waste Tire Public Education and Amnesty Grant Program application.

Q. I see that the proposed program milestones (page 7 of grant application and instructions) states that February 2003 - April 15, 2005 is the grant performance period. Does that mean that we cannot conduct any amnesty events prior to February 2003?

A. No. You may hold amnesty events prior to February 2003; however, you will not be reimbursed with Waste Tire Public Education and Amnesty Grant Funds unless you have received a Notice to Proceed prior to the event.
