Local Government Waste Tire Amnesty Day Grants

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) provides assistance for waste tire amnesty events to help divert waste tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and allow citizens to bring waste tires to convenient locations.

Beginning with fiscal year 2005/06, the CIWMB has approved offering grants for amnesty events together with grants for local government waste tire cleanup projects through its "Local Government Waste Tire Cleanup and Amnesty Event Grant Program."
