Interested Parties (IP) meetings are an opportunity for stakeholders to informally discuss issues affecting tires in California. We typically discuss items that are pending policy consideration by our Board, future policy items, and other important timely issues. In short, issues that may affect you and your business.

General Information

The Interested Parties meetings are a unique collaborative process that builds trust and respect between stakeholders and staff. We may provide meeting participants discussion drafts of issues the Board may consider in the future. This enables staff and stakeholders to fully discuss issues and any concerns in an open and collaborative manner prior to a formal meeting setting. These are not final items, they are a work in process, and should be considered such. While the concept or topic can be shared with others, discussion drafts must not be quoted or widely distributed (such as on a list server or in a newsletter). Our working relationship is very important to us and we truly value your input.

We want to discuss issues that are of interest to you. If there is a particular issue you would like to discuss, please forward the topic and any relevant information to Calvin Young well in advance of the next meeting. If you have information that would benefit the discussion of an item on a posted agenda, please send an electronic version of the information (at least 72 hours in advance) to Calvin Young. Staff will provide the information to participants prior to the meeting and provide alternative formats as needed.

Meeting Logistics and Procedures

Meetings are held at the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building in Sacramento, from 9:30 a.m. until noon (unless otherwise noted). We value your opinion and welcome your participation. For your convenience, the IP meetings are also accessible via teleconference and often in audio broadcast on the Internet. For teleconference information, see the specific meeting information.

Please let us know whether you plan to attend or participate via teleconference. If attending, please advise the security guard at the door that you are attending a meeting. They will direct you to the Visitor's Desk.

Because we value everybody's time, we make every effort to start the meeting promptly. In consideration of your fellow stakeholders, please arrive prior to the start of the meeting. For those teleconferencing, please be on the line no later than 9:30 a.m.
