California Environmental Protection Agency (www.calepa.ca.gov)
The Cal/EPA is responsible for coordinating and prioritizing the state’s efforts to protect the environment. The Cal EPA organizations are the Air Resources Board, the Department of Pesticide Regulation, the Department of Toxic Substances Control, the Integrated Waste Management Board, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, and the State Water Resources Control Board. Links are provided to these organizations.

California Environmental Resources Evaluation System (http://ceres.ca.gov)
CERES is an information system developed by the California Resources Agency to facilitate access to a variety of electronic data describing California's rich and diverse environments. CERES collects and integrates natural and cultural resource information from multiple contributors. This is a valuable resource for the teacher. 

California Geotour (http://www.conservation.ca.gov/cgs/geotour)
The California Geotour is an interactive index of Web page links to online California geologic field trip guides and geology related Web sites. The Web pages listed in the index are grouped by the California Geologic Provinces. For more information on California's geologic resources and hazards please take a look at the rest of the California Geological Survey Web site as well.

California Resources Agency (http://resources.ca.gov)
This state agency is responsible for the conservation, enhancement, and management of California's natural and cultural resources, including land, water, wildlife, parks, minerals, and historic sites. This Web site contains links to all the departments, boards, conservancies, commissions, and programs, within the Resources Agency.

Conservation Education (www.na.fs.fed.us/spfo.ce)
The United States Forest Service designed this Web site to improve communication with educators and the general public, to promote understanding and appreciation of this country's natural resources, and to conserve natural resources for future generations.

Marine, Coastal & Watershed Resource Directory (http://www.coastal.ca.gov/publiced/directory/resdirectory/rdindex.html)
The California Coastal Commission's Marine, Coastal & Watershed Resource Directory includes nearly 400 organizations.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (www.epa.gov)
This Web site lists resources available, such as: natural resources, hotlines, clearinghouses, libraries, press releases, newsletters, grants, games for kids, activities for students, teaching aids for teachers, tips for the home and garden, assistance for business, and gateways for funding and partnerships.

Watchable Wildlife (www.dfg.ca.gov/watchable/index.html)
This listing of articles provides the viewer with photos and habitat locations on several topics. This site is part of the National Watchable Wildlife Program coordinated by Defenders of Wildlife, government agencies, and private organizations in California, which joined forces and funds to promote wildlife viewing, conservation, and education.
