Proposed Regulations (Rulemaking)
You can get a quick overview and status on all regulations proposed by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (and recently approved by OAL) by viewing the Rulemaking Update. Once the rulemaking process has ended, the rulemaking information is moved to our Rulemaking Archives.
To find out more about a proposed regulation, select from the topic list below. You will find more detail on the subject and status of individual rulemaking projects at these individual sites, and links to the text of proposed regulations and other rulemaking documents. You may submit your comments on proposed regulations via e-mail directly to Board staff using the link on each topic site.

Office of Administrative Law (OAL)
The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) is responsible for reviewing administrative regulations proposed by all State agencies and for publishing regulations in the California Code of Regulations.

CIWMB Review of Regulations
Executive Order S-2-03 required that California agencies and departments review pending regulations, as well as regulations adopted since 1999,
to assure that the impacts on businesses were adequately assessed. The Board's reports were approved on February 11, 2004.
