Highlights

• At-Store Recycling Program (Plastic Carryout Bags)
  The Board adopted permanent regulations on June 17, 2008.
• Long-Term Postclosure Maintenance and Corrective Action Cost Estimates and Financial Assurance Demonstrations for Landfills (Phase 2)
  Board staff will conduct a series of public workshops between February and May 2008 to solicit feedback on informal draft regulation text and related activities.
• Mammalian Tissue Composting (Permanent Regulations)
  OAL approved the permanent regulations on April 24, 2008.
• Rigid Plastic Packaging Container Law
  Staff is preparing required documents that must be submitted with the package to OAL for approval to notice the rulemaking for a 45-day public comment period.
• Tire Hauler and Manifest
  On June 10, 2008, the Strategic Policy Development Committee directed staff to begin the formal rulemaking process.
