Electronic Waste Recovery and Recycling

On June 23, 2008, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved revised regulations governing the covered electronic waste recovery and recycling payment rates that were adopted by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) in May 2008. The revisions became effective July 1, 2008.

Description

Regulations that allow the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) to implement the requirements of the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 (Act), Chapter 526, Statutes of 2003; as amended by Chapter 863, Statutes of 2004, including the establishment and implementation of a payment system for the collection and proper recycling of covered electronic waste (CEW).
