LEA Staffing Adequacy

On August 10, 2004 the Office of Administrative Law approved the regulations and filed them with the Secretary of State. The regulations are effective as of September 9, 2004.

Description
Revision of existing regulations to include an allowance for existing local enforcement agencies whose jurisdictional population slowly increases past 50,000 persons, but does not exceed 80,000 persons, to continue to use 14 CCR 18072(d) to meet staff adequacy requirements.

Rulemaking History
On July 7, 2003, the Board's Permitting and Enforcement Committee directed staff to begin a 45-day public comment period. The comment period ran from January 23 through March 8, 2004. The Board held a public hearing and adopted the regulations on April 14, 2004.

On August 10, 2004 the Office of Administrative Law approved the regulations and filed them with the Secretary of State. The regulations are effective as of September 9, 2004.
