This two-day conference focused on the state of plastic recovery and recycling, sharing information from focused workgroups tasked with examining options for creating new and expanded collection and recycling opportunities in California. In addition, attendees participated in interactive panel discussions with business representatives, local government, nonprofit agencies, and other experts sharing their experiences in implementing new and expanded opportunities for increasing residential and commercial collection.

The second day of the conference included a session focusing on compliance with California's rigid plastic packaging container (RPPC) law and open forum for discussion of proposed changes to the RPPC regulations.

Both days of the conference were available via audio/video webcast and via telephone. Participants could participate in the conference by sending e-mail questions and/or comments for the panelists and facilitators.
