Workshop Purpose: To build upon the
January 25th workshop, Board staff
proposes to lead working groups that will evaluate barriers to the increased
recovery and recycling of plastic containers, and make recommendations to
the Board regarding key problems areas that the Board should focus its
collaborative efforts on in order to implement programs and projects that
will increase the collection and recycling of rigid packaging and other
plastic materials. Staff will review the results from the January 25th
workshop, and provide updates on ongoing projects. This meeting, however,
will focus on reviewing the issues identified by stakeholders at the January
25th workshop, and on beginning the process of organizing and directing the
working groups to enable them to establish and achieve desired outcomes.
