Issued Permits

When writing a permit, it can be  helpful to look at examples of other permits recently issued by LEAs. This page provides downloadable samples organized by type of facility with a summary preview of the site's parameters.

Sample Landfill Permits

  • Johnson Canyon Landfill (Word 97, 110 KB) Full Permit issued April, 2000. This 80-acre landfill is located in a rural agricultural area of Monterey County and is permitted for a maximum of 9,000 tons/month.

Sample Transfer/Processing Station Permits

  • Elder Creek Recovery and Transfer Station (Word 97, 63 KB) Full permit issued June, 1999. This large volume transfer station is located near rural and industrial uses in Sacramento County and is permitted for a maximum of 2,000 tons/day.

Sample Compost Permits

  • Sunland Garden Products Compost Facility (Word 97/2000, 34 KB) Standardized permit concurred by the Board on March 21, 2001. This 59 acre site is located at an active landfill in Monterey County and is permitted for a maximum of 200,000 cubic yards of material undergoing the composting process.   • Lionudakis Compost Facility (Word 97, 66KB) Full permit issued January, 2000. This 10-acre compost site is located near agricultural and residential uses in Sacramento County and is permitted for a maximum of 50,000 cubic yards of green material.
