- Landfill Managers (on-site & responsible for operations)
- Landfill Inspectors (CWIMB & LEA)

- Not currently for closed or closed, illegal or abandoned (CIA) sites
- Require Continuing Education Units

- Opportunities for Multiple Approved Training Sources for Certification and
Continuing Education Credit (CEU)

Why Regulations? Some of the responses given
- Landfill Managers and Inspectors will have the same basic level of
information to drawn from and communicate by.
- Continue to improve the quality of training for Landfill Managers and
Inspectors for all of California.
- Training system in place to address current or upcoming Solid Waste
Issues.
- Information shows that there seems to be a correlation between training
and landfill compliance.
- Continued training that builds on Managers and Inspectors current level of
training and experience.

- Is this a sole Source for SWANA?
- This is too expensive (How can we do it cheaper?)
- Why add these regulations, we are doing a good job?
- Do all LEAs have to be certified?
- Less CEU's for inspectors?
