Market Information Resources

The markets for organic materials are not as established as markets for scrap materials such as metal and paper. The following resources provide market information and price data both for feedstocks and for products made from organic materials. Some include coverage of market analysis, prices, and trends.

The Board has published the first comprehensive survey of California's organic materials management industry. A free copy of the report, Assessment of California's Compost- and Mulch-Producing Infrastructure (pub. #442-01-020), can be ordered or downloaded from the Board's publication web page.

The journals listed below offer information on use of organic materials across the United States.

Recycler's World is a world wide trading site and information exchange for secondary or recyclable commodities, by-products, used & surplus items or materials. Secondary materials can be direct marketed through this free access public site. Price information is available.
