The owner is currently conducting an engineering feasibility study (EFS)
at the site for a corrective action program (CAP). Pending the findings
of the EFS, the owner may be required to implement additional
groundwater monitoring wells or protection features at the site.
The site has not received an area of concern (AOC) or notice of
violation (NOV) from the EA for landfill gas (LFG)-related issues.
The site has not received an AOC or NOV from the EA for leachate
control or surface water quality-related issues.
The site has not received a notice to comply (NTC) or NOV from the
air pollution control district (APCD) for violations of LFG-related
regulatory requirements.

The regional water quality control board (RWQCB) indicated that the
landfill operator received waste discharge requirements (WDR) in 2002
that include groundwater monitoring to address releases at the site.

The EA indicated that the landfill owner installed bentonite cut-off
walls that provide additional protection from LFG migration.
