Local Government Central: Tools for Local Government Solid Waste Planners
The Board provides a number of tools and information to assist local government (as well as businesses) to reduce disposal, conserve resources, and help California meet its waste reduction goals. Please visit Local Government Central to find tools under specific topic areas. The following links take you directly to the database tools available:- Planning Annual Report Information System (PARIS). Use PARIS as an informational tool when preparing annual reports.
- The Disposal Reporting System (DRS) tracks the amount of solid waste disposed by each jurisdiction in California.
- The Waste Characterization Database provides estimates of the types and amounts of materials in the waste streams of individual California jurisdictions in 1999.
- The Countywide, Regionwide, and Statewide Jurisdiction Diversion Progress Report (CRiS report) provides both summary and detailed information on biennial review status, diversion rates, and waste diversion program implementation for all California jurisdictions. Users can group jurisdictions by county, by specific geographic regions, or by the entire state. Users can further customize reports by selecting criteria such as report year, diversion rate range, and/or biennial review status.
