Buying recycled for special events is also addressed. “A Guide to Mandatory Recycling at New York City Street Fairs,” by the New York City Department of Sanitation, Office of Special Events, 125 Worth Street, Room 807, New York, NY 10013. While much of the information in this guide is specific to New York City, it also includes a list of nationwide companies that sell recycling containers and decals. “Green Event Planning Guide,” produced by Bridging The Gap, Inc., P.O. This 1999 publication provides guidance on planning green events, including recycling and waste reduction, at four levels: (1) the family, (2) the neighborhood, (3) business events, and (4) large communitywide events. “It’s Easy Being Green! A Guide to Planning and Conducting Environmentally Aware Meetings and Events,” produced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response. EPA 530-K-96-002.
