LEA Training

This website includes links to information on upcoming and previous trainings; training resources; on-line training, new local enforcement agency (LEA) orientation; and the LEA/CIWMB Conference.

Dates

• Training Schedule: Includes dates and details of upcoming training courses.
• Recent Training: Provides information on classes that occurred in the past year.
• Training Archives: Provides information on classes and workshops that occurred in prior years.

Audiences

• Operator Training Program: A new operator-focused training program.
• LEA-CIWMB Conference: Provides information from current and previous conferences, including: agenda; biographies; brochure; and evaluations.
• New LEA Orientation: An electronic orientation to help new LEAs. These resources are intended to provide an introduction to the CIWMB, Board Members and Board programs. Also provides some handy web links.

Types

• On-Line Training: Includes links to videos of training offered to LEAs and others.
• Fact Sheets: For use by LEAs and solid waste facility operators in conducting day-to-day operations.
• Video Library: A library available to LEAs. The video topics include asbestos, landfill safety, emergency response, development of closed landfills, composting, landfill inspection techniques and state minimum standards.
• Web Conferencing: Includes information on upcoming and past web conferences which utilize the Internet to hold "virtual" meetings and seminars.
