Asbestos Regulations Orientation (1997)  (approx. 1 hour): A review of Title 27, Division 7, Chapter 3.5: Standards for Handling and Disposal of Asbestos Containing Waste.

The Basics of Landfill Safety (12 minutes): Describes why safety is important and safety laws, when safety starts, safety checklist, hotspots, equipment and personal protective equipment.

The Basics of Spotter Safety (9 minutes): This video describes the spotter's job which includes public relations, law and order, discipline and communication.

The Basics of Transfer Station Safety (15 minutes): This video asks "when does safety start?" It also includes information on speed limits, dust control, controlled access, signs, scavenging, unloading area, equipment safety and personal protective equipment.

Compliance First: Evaluation of Solid Waste Facilities State Standards (approx. 90 minutes): This video is from a training course offered throughout the state by the CIWMB in the fall of 2005. The scope of the training focused on frequently violated state minimum standards. Facility types included in this training were: landfills, transfer stations, composting facilities and operations, chip and grind operations, and construction, demolition and inert debris (CDI) operations. The course included examples of violations, areas of concern and compliance with the most violated minimum standards.

Development of Closed Sanitary Landfills Seminar (approx. 4 hours): This video includes presentations on: design components, foundations and settlement, postclosure case studies, landfill containment systems and how these systems affect postclosure land use, settlement, compaction, infrastructure and settlement, landfill gas, health and safety and the formal closure plan process for operating sites.

Emergency Response: Controlling Landfill Fires (10 minutes): This video includes information on controlling panic, tips for fighting fires, safety and the most effective ways to extinguish a fire.

Emergency Response: Preventing Landfill Fires (11 minutes): Information on preventing fires, preparing for them, controlling them and their causes.

Equipment Safety: General Issues (9 minutes): Includes information on maintenance, walk-around inspection checklist, training, operation and parking.

Farm-Based Composting (38 minutes): Explores 6 composting technologies from low to high-tech: passively aerated static windrow/pile, turned windrow/pile, actively aerated static windrow/pile, vermicomposting, in-vessel composting and anaerobic digestion. The video profiles fifteen farm composting operations and emphasizes equipment already found on farms that may be retrofitted for use in composting. Compost-specific equipment, rent/lease equipment, and high-tech compost operations are also shown.

General Dozer Safety (12 minutes): This video includes information on pre-trip inspections, mounting and dismounting, starting, working around others, pushing, speed and working on slopes and the tipping pad.

General Traffic Safety (9 minutes): This video covers communication, organization and layout, roads and signs.

Handling Difficult Loads (9 minutes): This video includes information on types of loads, and difficulties such as slow unloading, mixing vehicles, bulky materials, unstable vehicles, tire damage, dusty loads and litter loads.

Hazard Communications for the New Millennium (15 minutes): Includes information on identification of hazards, development and maintenance of material safety data sheets, labeling, training and special waste

Landfill Basics: An Introduction to Sanitary Landfills (11 minutes): This video includes information on the typical waste stream, the definition of solid waste landfill, history, open dump problems, siting criteria, Subtitle D, key components of a safe landfill, layout, use, operation, cover equipment, gas, litter and closure.

Landfill Inspection Techniques (24 minutes): This video demonstrates what constitutes a thorough inspection and how to use field equipment.

Spotter Safety: Communicating with Drivers (10 minutes): This video includes information on verbal and non-verbal communication, communicating at the tipping pad, spotter safety and uniforms.

State Minimum Standards Workshop (1997) (approx. 3 hours): A workshop sponsored by the CIWMB and the CCDEH. Includes a discussion of the new AB 1220 changes and Title 27. Also includes slides of sites, how the Board has historically reviewed and evaluated state minimum standards, a case study of drainage and erosion control, not properly preparing for winter, good winterization, alternative daily cover, how to interpret and apply the standards, comparison of pre- and post-AB 1220 standards and what is a violation and what is an area of concern.

Traffic Safety: Road Design (12 minutes): This video includes information on communication, organization and layout, unloading area and signs.

Working Safe and Smart with Balers (30 minutes): Warning! Graphic Content! Contains graphic depictions of baler accidents. Also includes information on pressure exerted by balers, safety standards, training standards, safety features of balers and bale stacking safety.
