Alternative Final Cover Assessment Training

Five (5) locations throughout California

In May 2002, staff from the Integrated Waste Management Board and the State Water Resources Control Board, in conjunction with the Desert Research Institute (DRI), conducted a one-day workshop for the local enforcement agencies (LEA), Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), and industry. The goal was to educate attendees on the scientific theory and engineering principles behind alternative covers and to update them on the current status of the Alternative Cover Assessment Program (ACAP) project.

Summary

Sixty-eight (68) people attended the training including LEA staff, RWQCB staff and industry representatives. No CEU credits were offered for this training.
