Regulations Alert! Closure and Postclosure Maintenance Cost Estimates Regulations

The Office of Administrative Law approved the CIWMB's Closure and Postclosure Maintenance Cost Estimates (Phase 1) regulations on February 25, 2008. The regulations became effective immediately.

These revised regulations are the first phase for Long-Term Postclosure Maintenance and Corrective Action Cost Estimates and Financial Assurance Demonstrations for Landfills required by Assembly Bill 2296 (Statutes 2006).

Please see the attached letter regarding the major changes and implementation of the regulations.
