Request for 2008 LEA/CIWMB Conference Topic Suggestions

This all LEA e-mail was sent on behalf of the LEA & Tire Training Support Section of the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB).

The 2008 Conference steering committee will be meeting soon to plan the 2008 LEA/CIWMB Partnership Conference. Your contribution of case studies and "real life" stories made for a great conference last October. Please help achieve that goal once again by submitting your ideas via our "Call for Papers" for the 2008 Conference. Conference sessions can cover a wide range of categories that include permitting, inspections, enforcement, new technology, public participation, health and safety, special waste, innovative waste management, illegal dumping, waste tires, e-waste, interagency coordination, GIS technology, environmental restoration, post-closure, etc. The steering committee will also consider alternative related topics.

If you are interested in sharing your story at the 2008 LEA/CIWMB Partnership Conference, or have ideas for sessions/speakers you'd like to hear at the conference, please submit a title and short description for your topic to Melissa Hoover-Hartwick by February 25, 2008. All ideas will be screened and approved through the conference steering committee.
