From the Bay Area: Take 101 South. At about 17 miles past Gilroy, take 156 West. After about 4 miles, 156 West merges with 1 South. Take 1 South past Marina, Monterey, and Carmel. Continue on 1 South past the last traffic light at Rio Road to the Carmel River State Beach on the right. Shortly beyond this beach (up the hill) you will come upon a sign which reads "Point Lobos Reserve State Park turnoff 1/4 mile." At about 0.1 mile beyond this sign, take a 120 degree right turn onto the dirt road leading to the Hudson House. If you reach the main entrance to the Point Lobos Reserve State Park, you have gone about 0.15 miles too far.
From Sacramento: Take 5 South to 33 South (Santa Nella exit). Take 152 West to Gilroy, then 101 South and follow directions above.

Just after you see the Embassy Suites high-rise hotel on your left and a large beachfront hotel on your right, there is an exit for Pacific Grove, Del Monte Avenue (Note that this is not the first Del Monte exit you will see as you are driving south on Hwy 1).
Take this Del Monte Avenue exit and proceed on Del Monte past the Naval Post Graduate School and into Monterey. Shortly after you pass the wharf on the right, the road will fork.
Take the right fork (Lighthouse) and go through the tunnel, staying in the right lane. Shortly after you exit the tunnel, there will be a fork on the right for Foam Street.
Take Foam Street (one way) until it dead ends at David.
Turn right on David. The Monterey Bay Aquarium will be right in front of you. You will immediately come to a four-way stop.
Turn left onto Wave Street (which changes to Oceanview Blvd. within a block). As you drive along, Hopkins Marine Station is on your right, across from the American Tinnery Outlet Mall. If you go too far, the only thing on your right will be the recreational trail and the ocean.

From I-5: Take Highway 50 East towards Placerville. Take the Bradshaw Road Exit. Turn right (South) onto Bradshaw Road. Follow Bradshaw Road to Kiefer Blvd. Make a right on Kiefer Blvd. Go one block and make a right on Branch Center Road. The Cooperative Extension building is on the northeast corner of Branch Center Road and Kiefer Blvd. There is street parking on Branch Center and Agriculture Lane. Directions from Interstate 8: Take I-8 to the Mission Gorge/Fairmount exit. Turn north onto Mission Gorge Road. Proceed down Mission Gorge Road for 4.2 miles. Just past the Jackson Drive intersection, look for the large wooden park sign on Mission Gorge Road. Turn left onto Father Junipero Serra Trail.
From Route 52: Take 52 east to the Mast Blvd. exit in Santee. Turn left on Mast Blvd., go under the freeway to the first traffic signal (West Hills Parkway) and turn right. Take West Hills Parkway to Mission Gorge Road and turn right. Proceed down Mission Gorge Road 2.4 miles (past the Father Junipero Serra Trail entrance to Old Mission Dam and Kumeyaay Lake and Campground). Look for the large wooden park sign on Mission Gorge Road. Turn right onto Father Junipero Serra Trail.

The Captain's House Conference Center is an attractive one-story building located in the beautiful Coyote Point County Recreation Area.
From San Francisco: Go south on HWY 101. Take the Poplar Ave. exit in San Mateo. Go straight to the 1st light (Humboldt Street) and make a right turn. Go to the next light (Peninsula Ave.) and make a right turn. Go over the overpass and make a left turn. Then make a left onto Coyote Point Drive. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
From San Jose: Go north on HWY 101. Take the Dore Ave. exit in San Mateo. Make an immediate left turn onto the Frontage Rd, continuing for ¼ mile, and then make a right turn onto Coyote Point Drive. The City Golf Course will be on your right. Follow the signs to the park entrance.

Turn Left onto Civic Center Dr. Take your 1st or 2nd left which will take you under the building through an arch. Park in the long term parking lot. Enter the higher of the two building wings at the arch.

From the North or South on Highway 101: Take the Victoria Avenue exit (exit and travel south on Victoria if you are coming in on 128). Then travel North past Telephone Road and turn East (Right) into the Ventura County Government Center complex at Thille Street. Park in "Lot A or B". Take the sidewalk to the Hall of Justice Administration Wing, past the fountain and enter through the cafeteria on your right. The large dining room is on the west end of the cafeteria.

Park anywhere around the building that is not specially marked. Entrance is on the south side of building. Go upstairs and go to the Resource Management Agency Conference Room "E". You can also ask for directions from the receptionist when you get into the atrium when you first enter the building.
