Subject: Enforcement Advisory Council Resolution 2007-05--Recommend forming a subcommittee to resolve policy and guidance issues regarding closed sites with multiple owners

Dear Mr. Rauh:

On August 7, 2007 the Enforcement Advisory Council (EAC) confirmed, by this resolution, the need to form a subcommittee to resolve the policy issues necessary to facilitate the use of the existing Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) number database for sites that have multiple owners. Additional guidance is needed to delineate how and when the existing reporting process can be utilized to maximize information input into the SWIS system.

EAC members from the South Western, Southern, and Northern Round Tables have already volunteered to participate, and we would like to include CIWMB staff from the SWIS Section.
