Enforcement Advisory Council

The Enforcement Advisory Council (EAC) was established in 1983 by Waste Management Board resolution 83-1. Its structure was modified for greater LEA representation in May 1995 (Agenda Item 82) and EAC’s value was reaffirmed in 2000 by resolution 2000-489 (MS Word 2000, 24 KB). The EAC consists of 12 members and serves this Board as an advisory committee representing the various regions of the state and the disciplines engaged in solid waste enforcement. The purpose of the EAC is to achieve a coordinated, consistent statewide enforcement program by ongoing communication among all LEAs and the Board, and to assure that LEA interests and viewpoints regarding programs and training needs are considered at the state level.

The goal of the EAC is to provide advice on technical issues to the CIWMB which includes coordinating each EAC member's regional round table issues to assure the flow of information with those LEAs within represented jurisdictions as well as with other EAC representatives and CIWMB.

The EAC meets six times each year--before and after each LEA Round Table.
