Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) Central White Paper Comments--Los Angeles County Sanitation District |

The following comments were submitted to the California Integrated Waste
Management Board by the Los Angeles County Sanitation District on
the dates indicated.October 10, 2007In regards to the four Draft Task 3 White Papers, which discuss modeling corrective actions at a landfill, the Task 3, Step 4 paper presents the numbers or probabilities regarding how many corrective actions will occur at a landfill. It is stated in the paper that these are based on best professional judgement, but there is no explanation of why the particular numbers or probabilities were selected. In the other papers this type of uncertainty is noted. It is recommended that factors such as these not be considered to be final at this point in the study. |
