Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment on the attached Task 6: Risk Factor Matrix (Adobe PDF, 42 KB | MS Word, 104 KB). The attachment contains our specific comments. Additionally, the following factors need to be considered in addition to the Risk Factor Matrix.

Factor

  1. Proximity to active or potentially active earthquake faults/seismic
  2. Location in areas subject to tsunamis, seiches, and storm surges
  3. Location in areas subject to subsidence and/or liquefaction
  4. Proximity to major aquifer recharge areas
  5. Proximity to aqueducts and reservoirs
  6. Proximity to wetlands
  7. Above-ground Landfills. [Landfills constructed above ground vs. canyon filled landfills]
  8. Age of the Landfill (relates to the state of decomposition and steady state condition)
  9. Proximity To Immobile Population
