    Background

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) offers a variety of grant funding opportunities authorized by Legislation to assist individuals, California Indian Tribes, and public and private entities in the safe and effective management of California’s waste stream. During 2002 the CIWMB awarded $41.2 million in grant funds to applicants; however, some grant programs had available funds that were not awarded due to a lack of response or the quality of the submitted grant applications. With the CIWMB’s goals of awarding all grant funds and providing potential grant applicants with tools to prepare a successful grant application, the CIWMB is offering Grant Writing Workshops at no cost to attendees.
