Image Gallery Using EPS Files |
|
|
EPS stands for Encapsulated PostScript. It is a file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code in ASCII text as well as a graphic format such as TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI. Adobe Illustrator has its own variation of EPS. Therefore, there are two versions of EPS in use. The EPS files posted on the CIWMB web site for your use are generated by various versions of Adobe Illustrator. You need a professional graphic design program, such as Quark, Freehand, or Adobe Illustrator to open, edit, and print EPS files. Most people do not have such programs on their computers, but most professional printers and graphic artists do. If you do not have a program that will open and edit an EPS file, take the EPS file and any supporting image files that may be included with the EPS file to a graphic artist or to a professional printer, or have a graphic artist or a professional printer download the EPS file and auxiliary images for you. EPS files and auxiliary files, if any, are contained in zip files to make the download process quicker and easier. Important Note: Some of the ZIP files that contain the EPS files available on this website include auxiliary files. These auxiliary files must be included with the EPS files when transferred to another computer or the EPS files will not render the desired image. |
