SB 20/SB 50 Implementation Workshop

As the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003 (SB 20, Sher, Chapter 562, Statutes of 2003) is implemented, workshops are being held to gather input from affected stakeholders and other interested parties.

A focused stakeholder meeting on proposed revisions to SB 20 emergency regulations was held Thursday October 7, 2004, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building. The CIWMB provided an audio web cast of this event.

This meeting covered a range of regulatory revision issues required by the signing of Senate Bill 50 and was intended as a forum to receive public comment so that revised emergency regulations can considered at the CIWMB's regular Board meeting on November 9-10, 2004.

To maximize meaningful participation, stakeholders were encouraged to prepare input and comment prior to attending the meeting. (SB 20 | SB 50)

Comments on proposed emergency regulations were requested by COB on the day of the meeting. Comments on issues newly raised at the meeting could be submitted in writing by COB on Friday, October 8, 2004. Comments were to be sent to ewaste@calepa.ca.gov.
