Dear Electronic Product Stakeholder: This electronic newsletter is an update on the implementation of California's Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003. It is being sent to you because you have expressed an interest in the subject of electronic waste (e-waste) management in California.
===================== REMINDER: CIWMB WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED REVISIONS TO EMERGENCY REGULATIONS DTSC WORKSHOP NOTICE: UNIVERSAL WASTE ===================== #### Reminder: CIWMB Workshop on Proposed Revisions to Emergency Regulations #### The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) will hold a workshop for interested parties regarding proposed revisions to emergency regulations Wednesday, October 19, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building in Sacramento. A general audio "web-cast" will be available. Web-based participants will be able to submit comments via e-mail during the event through the ewaste@calepa.ca.gov address. Participants are encouraged to bring their own copy of existing emergency regulations and the proposed revisions for reference.

CIWMB Committee and Board meetings can be accessed through: #### DTSC Workshop Notice: Universal Waste #### DTSC will be holding workshops on October 24th and 26th to discuss whether to extend the February 8, 2006 expiration data for the existing exemption for households and Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators of Universal Wastes to dispose of certain universal wastes in the solid waste stream.
