ANOTHER REMINDER:
JOINT CIWMB/DTSC REGULATORY WORKSHOP AUGUST 23, 2005

=====================

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) have scheduled a joint workshop for interested parties regarding emergency regulations and final rulemaking. The workshop will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m. at the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building in Sacramento.

The CIWMB will conduct a Covered Electronic Waste Payment System Pre-Rulemaking Fact-Finding Workshop from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and the DTSC will conduct a Universal Waste Electronic Device (UWED) Regulation Input Workshop from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Please note that an interactive video conferencing connection is available at the DTSC regional office in Cypress (Orange County). If you wish to avoid traveling to Sacramento, this option provides all the same opportunities to view, listen and comment. Space is still available. If you are interested in attending the workshop via the video conference link you must pre-register by contacting Peggy Farrell of the CIWMB at pfarrell@ciwmb.ca.gov or (916) 341-6590.

The DTSC Cypress regional office is located at:

5796 Corporate Avenue
Cypress, CA 90630-4732

A general audio web-cast of the workshop will also be available.
