April 2008 Workshops: Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

A series of three workshops will be held in April 2008. Register today for these hands-on learning opportunities in extended producer responsibility (EPR). Practitioners from a variety of EPR programs from around the country, Canada, and Europe will highlight legislative aspects of their programs as well as program design and implementation.

What and When

  • Applying the Product Stewardship Framework Workshops
    Host: Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority and the California Product Stewardship Council

Purpose: Highlights will be presented of the success stories and lessons learned from battery and fluorescent lamp collection programs from around the world. Building on the case studies presented throughout the series, and using CIWMB's recently-adopted EPR Framework (Adobe PDF, 106 KB) as a guide, participants will assist the Del Norte Solid Waste Management Authority in designing pilot projects for potential implementation through local public-private partnerships.
