Environmentally Preferable Purchasing: Green Lodging

Green Resources for Travelers

There are a variety of State efforts currently underway that are aimed at "greening" California government—this is one of them. The California Green Lodging Program was developed, in part, to assist State employees make environmentally friendly lodging choices while traveling on State business.

Every time you "travel green," you help to reduce pollution and waste, promote greater energy efficiency, and support those facilities that are working to create a healthier and more productive environment for all Californians. So the next time you need to travel on State business, please consider staying at one of the fine hotels participating in the California Green Lodging Program.

After your stay, please help us evaluate how the program is working by filling out and returning the comment card or online comment form. We want to know what you have to say!

Thank you for supporting CIWMB’s California Green Lodging Program and your commitment to reducing waste, and saving energy, water, and California’s other valuable resources through environmentally friendly practices in the hospitality industry.
