CalMAX for California's Schools

Welcome to CalMAX for California's Schools (formerly called KidMAX). We hope that you will continue using CalMAX to find or exchange materials commonly used in California's schools. With the high cost of everything these days, CalMAX can help teachers and schools find all kinds of needed materials while saving money for other programs.

For the long-time KidMAX users, you will notice some changes and some improvements. The KidMAX search feature is gone from this page. The previous KidMAX search feature limited you to only those materials that were correctly identified by the person creating the listing as being of interest to schools. Sometimes the person listing the materials for exchange might not be aware of how their materials could benefit schools and didn't flag it for KidMAX. Now schools use CalMAX's main search feature and have easy access to all the resources available in the CalMAX system.

Some of the materials commonly found in CalMAX that might be of interest for you or your school include garden supplies, containers, construction supplies, erasers, pens and pencils, laboratory supplies (non-hazardous, of course), paint, computers, arts and crafts supplies, cloth scraps, maps, text books and more!
