CalMAX welcomes Diana Rivera as the new CalMAX co-coordinator. Diana is bilingual in Spanish and English and brings a very strong background in marketing, database management, and desktop publishing to the program.

What to do with those used greeting cards is the subject of this month's creative reuse feature which highlights the creative work of children at St. Jude's located in Boulder City, Nevada. 

This quarter's electronics update includes information about national and local efforts to recycle computers.

This month's successful connections story highlights four women from all over the state who help promote CalMAX. Three of the women are linked through one connection involving magnetic strips left over from the production of refrigerator magnets. Kay Norris, Louette Quesnoy, Kerry Friend, and Marcia Iannone are four longtime and persistent CalMAX users who are spreading the word about CalMAX.

Letting businesses, organizations, and schools know about CalMAX is the best way to make CalMAX ads work for their listers. To help spread the word about CalMAX, the inside back cover of this issue has a poster for businesses, organizations, schools, and government offices to post about CalMAX.
